#130: Trauma, PTSD and Eating Disorders with Hayley Miller

Hayley is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Registered Dietitian . She is originally from Pennsylvania so she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Marywood University and her Master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College. She is trained in Phase 1 of Brainspotting as well as Cognitive Processing Therapy for people with PTSD. She is also a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian and Supervisor.
She has a special interest in working with people with eating disorders and trauma.
She works from a Health At Every Size framework which means she does not treat people differently based on size and believes people are healthy at every size. She rejects diet culture mentalities and helps people to nourish their bodies without shame or guilt. She loves working with people on improving their relationships with food and their bodies. She combines cognitive behavioral approaches with somatic approaches to help those achieve their goals while also noticing what the body is trying to tell them. She connects with you on goals you would like to achieve
while also noting any barriers that may come up.Hayley feels called to this work because of her belief that everyone can recover from an eating disorder with a little
help and support from providers. Hayley is the owner of Hayley Miller Counselingserving LA and NYC.
